Honoring Road Heroes this Truck Driver Appreciation Week
Every year, Truck Driver Appreciation Week gives us a special opportunity to honor the incredible 3.6 million professional drivers who keep our nation moving. Every day, truck drivers make it possible for us to live our lives by delivering the goods and resources we rely on, from building materials, food, clothing to essential supplies. They ensure we have what we need when we need it.
At Nova Lines, we celebrate our drivers year-round. But during this National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, from September 15th to September 21st, 2024, we want to go above and beyond to honor their dedication, hard work, and resilience. We’re incredibly impressed with all they do, and we have something special planned to show our appreciation.
What’s Coming for Drivers During this Driver Appreciation Week?
Nova Lines is deeply grateful for each and every one of our truckers. We understand the sacrifices our drivers make daily, and we can’t express our gratitude enough.
To make this Truck Driver Appreciation week memorable, we’ve planned a range of exciting activities and giveaways to make sure our drivers feel appreciated and valued. We’re kicking things off with daily drawings where drivers have the chance to win one of 20 brand-new 32-inch TVs, luxurious neck massagers, cordless truck vacuums, and more. To add an extra touch of appreciation, every driver will receive cash to spend on a meal of their choice, wherever they are during the week.
What Do Truckers Really Do?
Truck drivers do so much, and it’s time we give them the recognition they deserve. Here are some key facts that highlight their daily contributions:
- Trucks move over 70% of goods across America. This means most of what you see on store shelves—from groceries to everyday essentials—arrives there because of truck drivers.
- Without truck drivers, grocery stores would be empty in about 3 days. Their work keeps food and supplies flowing, ensuring we all have access to what we need.
- Truckers work long hours, often up to 14 hours a day. It’s a tough job that requires immense dedication and resilience.
- Even during the holidays, truck drivers don’t stop. They stay on the road, ensuring the supply chain keeps moving when the world needs it most.
Truck drivers make sure we have the food we eat, the clothes we wear, and nearly everything we buy. Yet, their hard work often goes unnoticed. They keep the country running from behind the scenes, and it’s time we show our appreciation for all they do.
